The University of Toronto Campus Safety Special Constable Service would like to make the U of T community aware of an off-campus sexual assault reported to University Special Constables and Toronto Police on Thursday, September 16, 2021 in the area of Bloor Street West and St. George Street.


On Friday, September 17, 2021, Toronto Police released an alert in relation to this incident as well as a second which occurred a short time later in the area of Bloor Street West and Avenue Road. A suspect has been identified by police and the investigation is ongoing.

Community Safety Office

  • Virtual TravelSafer and Mobile Bluelight: These features are available through the U of T Safety App and can be used to trigger a distress beacon, in the event of an emergency, to send your location to a Campus Safety dispatcher and summon help.
